Dragon Collector’s Set – Iconic Evil

Wizards of the Coast is at it at another chance of the miniatures line. A Dragon Collectors set is in the making, and set for a release date of October 18, 2011 and will sell for 44.99 msrp so you’ll be able to pick it up at for for under $40 bucks with free shipping.

The dragon collectible set will contain 1 each of the 5 colors of chromatic dragons : red (fire), green (poison), blue (lighting), black (acid) and white (ice). It looks like they will be releasing 2 new figures while 3 are going to be from the old plastic DDM mini lines. I would come to bet that they will be the same exact paint jobs too. no word on which are going to be the new ones or what size the will be.

They will contain the dungeon delve cards but no info on if they will have skirmish cards. I doubt that it will.

Promotion release listed here.

Pictures when i get them!!!

Beholder Collector’s Set

Beholder Collector’s Set.

This limited edition set of beholders was released on November 16, 2010, which of course I just had to have by all that is evil and unholy in this land! I wont let my ramblings get in the way of the collector swag so….

Box Front

Eye of Frost #1/4 – “Snowball”

Originally a Christmas gift from Wizards of the Coast to employees that worked there in 2007 this bad chicken was given in a sealed plastic case with the name “Snowball”. Thus making it the holy grail of all miniatures to acquire. The exact number of Snowballs made is not known, since an official number was never released. The only thing that’s changed is it base with the collectors set insignia. Its unknown what the Snowball base looks like. If anyone knows a fool who opened their package, please send me a picture of the base.

Eye of Shadow #3/4

The Eye of Shadow was originally released in the Deathkneel series of miniatures as Beholder #32/60, now cast in a purple tinted plastic.

Beholder Eye Tyrant #3/4

The Beholder Eye Tyrant was originally produced for Dangerous Delves 5/40 as… Beholder Eye Tyrant! Nothing has changed with this mini except that this Eye Tyrant’s base is immune to the problem with bent bases from large minis being crammed into a such small packages.

The Ghost Beholder #4/4

The Ghost Beholder’s original cast was  for the Beholder Lich #31/60 in the Unhallowed Series. This blue plastic looks really cool in a beholder. Theres a hell of a seam through all these beholders, but this one is the most prominent.
